Have you seen the latest lookbook from our friend Shay Mitchell? The clip throws a spotlight on Shay’s sunglasses collection, featuring sunglasses from Dan Deutsch Optical Outlook. In the video, she flips through a series of looks by Bottega Veneta, Céline, Dior, Dita, Eyevan, Fendi, Jacques Marie Mage, Max Pittion, and Saint Laurent. Shots of her gorgeous face without shades bookend the experience.
Check back here soon to shop the collection. Which one is your favorite?

We’ve loved the original Porsche sunglasses when they first came out in 1978, and we’re happy to say that back in a big way! Even better than they were before, the design is now rendered in titanium and so they’re lighter and more comfortable. The design will always be a classic.
Jennifer Stano’s Sunglasses
One look at these inspiring pictures on our friend Jennifer Stano David’s instagram say it all. Jennifer is a fashion icon, wife, mother, swimsuit designer, blogger and reality TV personality (she appeared on TLC’s “Secrets of a Trophy Wife”). Recently Jennifer snapped a few selfies in her Porsche sunnies and was kind enough to mention us as well.
The Porsche aviators have interchangeable lenses to suit your mood.
We custom-made these gradient blue lenses for Jennifer to match the azure waters of the Mediterranean. What color is your mood?
Antonio Villaraigosa, 41st Mayor of the City of Los Angeles, takes a moment with Dan while updating his eyewear at our UCLA, Jules Stein location. Villaraigosa was a history major at UCLA. Dan’s philosophy? Sometimes one pair just isn’t enough.
Photographer Polly Borland has an exceptional eye. It only makes sense that she wears exceptional eyewear. Here she is, pictured with her son Louie, at our West Third Street shop. For herself, Ms Borland selected tortoise Celines with a custom green, gradient tint.
You may not know it from his troubled Criminal Minds persona Derek Morgan, but longtime customer Shemar Moore is one of the friendliest actors working in Hollywood today.
Here he is back in his Young and Restless days at our West Hollywood shop:
Recently Shemar has been posting gorgeous pictures of himself and our eyewear on his instagram. We couldn’t help ourselves from sharing, but don’t take our word for it, head over there and follow him for yourself! (You can follow our instagram here)
We can’t wait to see his new romantic comedy The Bounce Back, currently in production, that he is both starring in and executive producing. Proceeds from his BabyGirl clothing line go to support the National MS society.
Word up! Dan was elated to reunite with longtime customer and Cameo frontman Larry Blackmon. Cameo was most well known for their songs “Word Up” and “Candy” among others, their infectious dance grooves, and Larry’s unique voice. Lucky for Dan, Larry left his signature codpiece at home (that would have been awkward).
Actor, model and longtime acquaintance Jack Scalia stopped in to our Beverly Hills store recently to say hi. Dan and the sex symbol, whose career was launched by an underwear ad and is best known for his role in All my Children, found something in common: a deep fondness for the color blue.
He’s played with Cher, Lionel Richie and Michael Jackson. Bass guitar dignitary and longtime friend Don Boyette comes in for a new groove before setting off for the seaven seas with Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL World Tour.
Violent Femmes bassist Brian Ritchie recently came in to our 3rd St shop for some new looks. The musician and his wife Varuni, who live in Tasmania, were on their way to to Coachella for a much anticipated Violent Femmes reunion performance.
“When I saw this shop, I knew I was going to find something special here,” Brian, who co-founded the band in 1980 and is known for his unique acoustic bass sound, told us.
He decided on a pair of extreme Cavalli cateye sunglasses to wear on the Coachella Main Stage.
Varuni selected a Michele Lamy design from Dan’s vintage collection for her Coachella eyewear.
Strong designs that looked terrific on a very cool couple!
