Cristóbal Balenciaga opened his first boutique in 1917 in San Sebastián, Spain, later relocated to Paris in 1937. The Maison is considered a leader in major fashion trends due to its creativity, masterful cuts and exquisite techniques. In 2015, Demna was named Balenciaga artistic director, and continues to uphold the vision, influence and radical style of the House.
