The Akoni design team worked very closely with Rousteing to explore every design possibility and push new tech breakthroughs. This explains why, with each new iteration, they manage to create an even edgier take on this best-selling silhouette. First introduced during Balmain’s critically acclaimed Fall-Winter 2021 fashion show, this special Wonder Boy melds gold and black, titanium and acetate for a striking two-frames-in-one design illusion. The detailing and contours make very evident the shared respect that Balmain and Akoni hold for artisanal and innovative craftsmanship. Any true Balmain Army member will be able to quickly recognize the unique amplified spirit of the house even without the aid of the Balmain logos and those unique end-of-the-frame B monograms.
