Barton Perreira was created in 2008 through the eyewear chemistry of veteran optician Bill Barton and designer Patty Perreira. The brand is dedicated to “pure luxury” which is often expressed in an understated way. No logos appear on the exterior of the eyewear. Initial jeweled and precious metal designs have yielded in recent collections to references and updates to eyeglass trends of decades past. Dedications to famous and infamous personalities past and present have inspired designs as well. Eyewear created directly and indirectly for the likes of supermodel Jean Shrimpton, actor Giovanni Ribisi, composer Scott Joplin and fashion icon Chloe Sevigny among others. Barton Perreira is designed in Los Angeles – Perreira’s design studio is in Venice, CA – and constructed by hand in Japan.
